Chestnut lamp

This lampshade has a cornered outside and a curved inside. The curved inside is quite unexpected. Just like the first time you open a chestnut and see that it is very round and curved on the inside. This lampshade is folded by hand out of one piece of Butterfly paper.

Studio Snowpuppe creates intricately folded paper lampshades inspired by traditional origami techniques and a fascination with the way paper can filter the cold light of an energy saving light bulb and turn it into a cosy house lamp.
